I saw this in my suggestions, and figured it was sludge metal, but instead I found something much better than sludge, I found Sludge!! The musicianship on this album is beyond reproach, and some of the vocal work has hints of Cattle Decapitation's Travis Ryan. Plus, the Slug theme is great; it's not your average gimmick, it's so much better than you're thinking as you read this.

We've all known this was coming. Maybe we didn't realize it, but it was inevitable, with mastermind Greg Burgess driving Allegaeon's classical flair—a characterization they've given more love with each successive album. And now this, this masterwork, this praise of music for the sake of music—the end result. Do yourself a favor and embrace the classical of the 21st Century. evan_evone
